Project Objectives:
The aim of the project is to introduce seniors to the benefits of yoga and the history and development of yoga philosophy so that the basic principles and practice of yoga can become part of their everyday lives.
Project Summary:
The aim of the project is to reintroduce appropriate exercise into the daily lives of seniors, respecting their health limitations, supporting their physical, mental, and social needs, and contributing to improving their physical condition. Compared to regular physical exercise, yoga is enriched by the addition of meditation. This can strengthen mental abilities, improve concentration, and thus slow down the aging of the brain and contribute to keeping it in better condition. Of course, the promotion of social contact is also important. Meeting and practicing yoga together in a group creates pleasant feelings, promotes the sharing of group energy, helps reduce tension and stress, allows participants to take a break from their daily worries, and contributes to improving their self-esteem. Exercise and maintaining a healthy lifestyle can be the ways to enable people to enjoy a peaceful and active old age.
